Mr. GERALD LAI

 

 

 

Mr. Gerald Lai was in legal practice before joining The Arbitration Chambers. He now renders support to the Resident members and serves as tribunal secretary when appointed by the tribunal. He has been involved in arbitration in different sectors including energy, construction and engineering, forestry, technology, manufacturing, and hospitality and under varied arbitration rules, including the SIAC, AIAC, HKIAC, ICC and LCIA rules. While the bulk of these cases are commercial, he has also taken on roles assisting tribunals or ad hoc annulment committees several investor-State disputes under the ICSID Convention.

Prior to joining The Arbitration Chambers, Gerald worked in two large Singapore litigation and arbitration law practices.
